Hello my friends, please forgive the sudden journal so soon after my first...only like a day actually. XD But I feel the intense desire to write...something for this. :heart:

Today the Supreme Court of the United States officially ruled in the defense of gay marriage as a protected right of same sex couples, and that states cannot force bans on such rights.

www.cnn.com/2015/06/26/politic…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a close ruling from what I understand. Justice Anthony Kennedy, from what I've read, a conservative justice, gave the final say on the ruling.
I don't normally tend to do things like this anymore honestly. Not at all into the whole "social justice activism" scene or anything like that these days. But I really, really wanted to just write something, saying how wonderful I think this is.
I myself would say I am bisexual in terms of sexuality. I don't tend to mention it much, not out of shame anymore, but more so because I don't feel it's a big deal. =p
It's just so amazing and wonderful to see something actually good in the news for once. Amid all of the horrible things that happen daily, both here in the States and abroad, it's nice to see some light for once.
There is still going to be some controversy I image. I'm sure some people who are opposed to this ruling, for one reason or another, will try to push back.
Love is a constant, and the only variables that exist with it are in who feels it. Whether they be straight couples or gay couples (or relationships if more than a couple, not judging), love does not change. It stays the same, so why should the love between two people of the same sex be treated differently than the love between two people of different genders?
Love is love, no matter who feels it. <3 And I for sure am feeling that love today.
I hope others are spreading some of this love today too. Thanks for reading, you'are all the best! :love:
Well I think that they have a right as just as anyone but not everyone agrees. There is a pastor who says he will set himself on fire if it passes. It passed and I wonder if he done it yet? I wonder if anyone has a match? Does he want to get burned with kerosene, gasoline or alcohol? Does he want to hold some wood so he can burn faster? I want to know if I can truly pee out a fire? When he does burn, can I cook some hot dogs over that old charred asshole? I know cooking things over charcoal tastes good but I wonder how food will taste if cooked over a withered old bastard. If I had to use a fire extinguisher on him, I'm pretty sure it will spew forth confetti and paper. I'm sure fire fighters will set their hoses on the lowest in case they change their mind on wanting to see a bigot burn. That pastor is such an asshole that when he dies, maggots and worms will refuse to eat him. When he dies, I'm sure the coffin he gets put in will spit him back out. I think their will be no doubt when he gets prepped for his funeral, the guy doing it will shit on his face and know will tell the difference. Ok, joking aside some people are just bent out of shape thinking that this is the worst thing happening to marriage. No this isn't. Divorce is the worst thing to happen to marriage. It has been going on for a long time and yet Christians and so forth have done nothing about it. They simply just sweep it under the rug. In fact, In America, 50 percent of marriages end in divorce and that's terrible. It is worse than any gay couple has ever done. In the Bible, homosexuality is a sin but so is divorce and they done nothing to keep it down. So they might as well just get over it. The integrity of marriage has been destroyed a long time ago. It seems that some of these Christians need to study their Bible better and realize that their own shit stinks too.
